Hearing Test - how to proceed:
Connect Your computer's soundcard to some better stereo speakers. Keep absolute silence and start playing with 3 kHz. Get used to the direction of frequency tone. Proceed with 5 kHz, this also won't be a problem to hear. Now find the position of Your head, where You get the same tone-level on both of Your ears, and keep it exactly. Now play 10 kHz, 12 kHz and 15 kHz. Are You able to hear these frequencies? Maybe You will just feel the tones rather than hearing them. Particularly 12 kHz and 15 kHz are so high, that You might perceive only a thrill behind Your eyes. Try also with good headphones for better results. Be careful with Your ears!

Loudspeaker Check:
Follow the instructions in first row above. If phase is wrong (thin noise), swap cable connection of 1 speaker.
Then play the single sine waves and the full sweep. If some fequencies are overemphasized, change the acoustic environment of Your room or use an equalizer.
